Connare Field

Connare Field is Richmond Baseball Club's primary facility. Built in 2003 and named after long time club benefactor Vincent Connare, this field hosts most of the Richmond Flames and Knights home games. Connare field is also the venue for in-season mid-week practices.

The field is located in Ham, to the south-west of Richmond town centre and forms part of the Kew & Ham Sports Association playing fields complex.

Directions

By Car

From North: If you are entering Richmond from the North (M4, Kew, Central London etc.) you will need to drive straight through the town centre itself, passed the train station, and along the A307. At the Richmond bridge round-about take the first exit and bear right staying on the A307 (Petersham Road). After about 1 mile take a right at the traffic lights about and enter the village of Petersham. Go through the village and take a right at the roundabout down Sandy Lane. Travel to the end of Sandy Lane and take a right. Take a left along Riverside Drive. The club entrance will be on the Right, through the metal gates.

From South: If you are coming to the club from the South (Kingston) you will need to exit Kingston heading towards Richmond on the A307. After about 1 mile take a left at the traffic lights along Dukes Avenue. Continue along this road and it will eventually become Riverside Drive. The club entrance will be on the left (doubling back) through the metal gates.

By Public Transport

Connare Field is easily accessible by public transport. It is recommended that you take a train to Richmond Station (Zone 4). Richmond is served by London Underground, London Overground and National Rail services from Waterloo. From the station you should take either the number 371 or number 65 bus available right outside the station doors.

For the 65 get off at Sandy Lane, just after you pass through Petersham Village. Walk down Sandy Lane and take a right at the end of the road. Take a left on Riverside Drive, the club will be on your right through metal gates. This walk will take approximately 10 minutes.

For the 371 get off at Ham Street. Take a right at the junction and then a left onto riverside Drive. The club will be on your right through metal gates. This walk will take approximately 5 minutes.
